Natural Menopause Treatments

When you suffer from menopause there are symptoms that will generally come with it.  Some women will feel those symptoms more and some will feel them less.  Either way, they are uncomfortable and can get in the way of you living a healthy, happy life.

You will most likely suffer from symptoms like:

  • hot flashes
  • insomnia
  • depression
  • night sweats
  • headaches
  • loss of interest in sex
  • vaginal dryness

and many, many more.  There are ways that you can naturally try to fight those symptoms of menopause and you can do it safely and naturally.  It only means a few changes in your lifestyle to be able to lessen those uncomfortable feelings.

  • Tofu – Tofu contains soy and phytoestrogen which can help reduce the night sweats and hot flashes that you feel.  When preparing meals put the tofu in your meal and you may not even notice it is there (if you don’t really like tofu).
  • Ground Flax Seed – You can ground up the flax seed and put it into soups, on your salads, on virtually anything that you are eating.  When mixed in with your favorite dish then you really can’t taste the flax seed at all, but if you are menopausal, you will feel the results once you start using it.
  • Black Cohosh Tincture – Taking black cohosh tincture can help to relive many of those hot flashes and night sweats that you experience during menopause.  Use it 2 – 4 times each day for the best benefits of the herb.
  • Sage Tincture – This herb will also help to relive night sweats and hot flashes.  It should be taken in about 10 – 15 drops everyday for the full effect and can be put in your tea or other beverage to make the taste a little better.
  • Vitamin E – Taking a Vitamin E supplement every day can help to reduce some of those menopause symptoms.  This can work to decrease hot flashes and mood swings that women have during menopause.
  • Diet – Change your diet to include foods that are healthier like vegetables, fruit and soy and decrease the amount of sugar that you take in every day.  You will begin to feel better overall, but this small change can also help with menopause symptoms.  Keeping an overall healthy body will decrease the severity of your symptoms.
  • Exercise – Exercising regularly can make you feel more energized during the day, can help you sleep better at night and can reduce your chances of insomnia when you lay your head down on your pillow at night.

These are some things that you can try that will work naturally, but if none of them work for you, talk with your doctor about other options such as prescribed medications.
