Product Claims:  

Promensil makes good use of isoflavones to target general menopause symptoms.  It received our #4 rating because it lacks the nutritional support a womans body needs during menopause, consumer reviews state it can take up to four weeks to start working and certain drugs may reduce its absorption.

The plant estrogens, or isoflavones in Promensil are safe and all natural and they can help with relief of some of the general symptoms.  Research has shown that menopausal women who eat a diet high in isoflavones tend to have an easier menopause.  This supplement was created to provide menopausal women with the isoflavones needed to help control symptoms.  The formulation also contains a mild herb to help promote sleep.  Still, this product does not contain many of the key nutritional ingredients of our top product to promote general health during menopause.

The isoflavones in Promensil can help after menopause to increase heart and bone health.  The ingredients in this product help the body absorb calcium better, however it does need to be taken with an additional calcium supplement.

Value:

This product retails for $43.49 a bottle and $173.96 for four bottles, also considerably higher than our top product.  There are very few beneficial ingredients in this product to account for the price and a long wait to see any signs of menopause symptom relief.

Our Conclusion:

While Promensil is a known product seen in drug stores, it needs some work to increase its effectiveness and absorption.  Plant estrogen products are good, butPromensil could use an upgrade of ingredients to target a wider range of menopause issues to increase its value.
